ATTENTION ALL CUSTOMERS OF EVERY WIRELESS CARRIER

Big Daddy

HEAR ME NOW AND BELIEVE ME LATER...

FREE PHONES ARE GONE AND THEY ARE NEVER COMING BACK...ALMOST EVERY PHONE NOW HAS A COLOR SCREEN AND THEY COST THE CARRIERS TO MUCH MONEY TO GIVE AWAY. IF YOU GET A PHONE FOR LESS THAN $100 YOU ARE VERY LUCKY MINE COST $400. AND CONTRARY TO POPULAR OPINION IT DONT MATTER IF YOU HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR 10 YRS OR 1 YR OR IF YOU SPEND $20 A MONTH OR $300. I HAVE HAD PLATINUM CABLE FOR OVER 5 YEARS AND PAY $100 A MONTH AND THEY HAVE NEVER GIVEN ME A FREE TV...REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU CALL US...

THANK YOU,

YOUR FRIENDLY CARE REP

Actually...

Satelite TV DOES lock you into a contract, and you have to ride it out or pay a termination fee. And then, if you get it re-established, you have to pay a reactivation also...

Outsourcing has nothing to do with it. It's the quality of training that (ATTWS/Cingular) provides for the outsourced employees. They can only work with the information that they are provided.

If you have a problem with a rep you can't understand, speak to the res desk and lodge a complaint. Better yet, write a letter to the National Correspondence Team (at the contact address on the back of your bill). Res listens... and feedback from correspondence actually does matter. Personally, I would prefer it if ALL the reps that I support would be able to speak English clearly.

On the flip side of the "Feriners" argument... I hear from customers all the time who complain about reps whom they can't understand. Quite a number of them are ...

Oh, no no no. There are definitely legitimate complaints. Not everyone who complains is a racist pig. I'm just saying that there are some people out there who complain just because they may possibly not be speaking with an American. Alot of our reps located on foreign soil (and foreign reps in domestic call centers) speak English quite well and can understand and actually hold a conversation... but I have people escalate to complain about them anyway, just due to their accents. I pass these complaints directly to the people that actually WENT to these international centers and trained the specific reps or the trainers in those centers. Yep, we do follow up on these complaint calls.

If you've got a legitimate problem w/ a specific re...

😲

If I get a new gsm phone does it even matter if I call in and let you guys know or not? I know with the old digital phones you had to update your esn with the carrier. Will it affect my service at all if I do not update my IMEI with you? Will I miss important updates or anything? Also when should I expect my phone to stop showing ATT wireless and start showing cingular?

3 things

1)if its a new phone ,not calling willvoid the warranty,if not new no worries

2)if its npot called we cant program or troubleshoot the device or update the software for phone

3)if you call in,eventually your service will be crap.no update programming for towers will reach that phone.

Numbers 1 and 2 are true, however, number 3 has some holes in it. GSM updates network settings through over-the-air updates that are stored on the SIM card. Your service will not be crap because it will update on its own, one of the advantages of GSM over CDMA.

No, it's not necessary... The only thing it truly effects is if you have insurance... Insurance is based on the IMEI... other than that the phone will work fine.

And warranty....the phone you are using must be listed in our systems or you won't be able to file an insurance claim or process a warranty exchange.

Not calling will not void the warranty, you just won't be able to process one until it's been listed in the system.
