Why is it, that since the merger I have been getting calls that customer are saying their service got worst, extra charges have been charged on account, was charged roaming when they have a local plan?

What makes me mad is that customers use the excuse that we merge and they want a credit for everything.

Has this hapened to anyone?

Why do you make the subject of every single one of your posts "Question"? Is there just not enough room on your text box to type more than that?

To answer your "question", I have people that say "AT&T was great, I've had them for years. I can't believe that you people at Cingular treat your customers this way" when they are arguing over our warranty exchange process.

Um... the process hasn't changed at all. We were AT&T Wireless before the merge and continue to serve legacy AT&T Wireless customers. The warranty on your phone hasn't changed. Your warranty options haven't changed. We aren't treating you badly. You just don't like your options under the warranty. grrr.

The reason they are getting romaing charges is because Cingular does not have roaming agreements with the same companies so we have lost alot of those in lost of the markets, also i had a friend talking to a TSD and in lots of the areas Towers have been takin down and replaced with GSM tower systems. In 1 area were the TSD was talking about 5 digital towers were takin down and only 1 digital tower was left in the area. THUS BAD SERVICE.

But wouldn't the roaming agreements signed for the customer's rate plans be in effect still because Cingular took over everything from AWS? From what I can remember, the HCA never changes and the customer would get a recording advising them to enter a credit card to continue the call. The towers I can agree on, it makes sense too, we want customer to migrate soe we make service bad in the area, customer then chas the option to try better service on GSM for 30 days or migrate back.
