If I have a Moto V551 phone and am on an ATTWS plan, can I now call customer service to change my SIM and register a 64K Cingular SIM? Will it go through?

We've been told that it won't. Why don't you try it and find out? 🙂

A cingular sim will not be compatible with an AT&T plan. AT&T sims almost always start with 89310380. Cingular sims are 89014001 or something like that. If someone tried entering a cingular sim into siebel it would reject it.

Yep. Siebel will take a Cingular SIM and accept it as one of it's own. 😁 I did a COAM for a customer who had a Cingy SIM, had him test the activation, went off without a hitch. And, BTW, I have a Cingular plan/SIM. ICCID starts with 89310, same as all ATTWS SIM's. As for 64k, I don't know. I'm a legacy Orange customer...so I only have 32k.
