T-Mobile worth it?

T-Mobile and Cingular are the only major carriers offering GSM service. T-Mobile is the oldest GSM network in the US (since 2001) and uses PCS band only (1900MHz). Cingular now offers both PCS and Cellular (800MHz) bands on their GSM network.
Lets just say T-Mobile goes downhill and ends up For Sale.
Now the question is, would Cingular buy T-Mobile? Or would it be simply two much work trying to merge the two networks, as they are alot less compatable then Cingular and AT&T.

i think t-moblie would be a excellent purchase. We'd then play monoply with the wireless phone industry. Our coverage would flawless. Except in mountanous,canyon....etc...areas.

I suppose the merger involving Spint and Nextel would be more complicated than if Cingular merged with T-Mobile.

T-Mobile actually has coverage in areas Cingular dosen't. North and South Dakota for one. But, I seriously doubt the FCC would approve it. They may considering the CDMA carriers that are available.
Personally I think it wouldn't fly.
