hmmmm...that sounds simaler to something i noticed up here. there was a website that was on blogspot.com. i saw it once, then it was gone. just removed from existance. but the author was blogging on about the call center pretty hardcore. maybe he was fired for it and his website dismantled? ....i smell a conspiracy!

Conspiracy confirmed, the dude was from this call center going on about the director of this call center and other workings here and they found it, found him and he is looking for a new job now.
To kinda continue with this theme, I wonder if we can get fired for posting here? I mean we are allowed to be in phonescoop and if we don't put too much info up we should be fine right?

yea as far as i know, as long as you dont provide specifics about loction, names policys etc i think your good....also flaming people probally not a good idea. use this forum as a place to swap info, and help other reps and customers....and have a little fun doing it. just dont let your call stats suffer as a reslut and you should be good

Nope, even if it was provided, we here at work cannot access it, it's one of those forbidden areas, yet this area is perfectly fine.

uh basiclly, its people who have a website on wich they rant complain piss moan bitch cry etc about there job, family etc. usually gets pretty rude and employs multiple usages of the F*** word. alot of employers find these things to be....derogetory and not professsional behavoiur, especially if youve signed a nda. (wich by the way was one of those papers you signed in training class day 1.) generally speaking, blogging can be a healthy outlet, but in some cases people take it too far. the poor fellow i mentioned above is a prime example.

Blogging is short for "web logging." basically, it's having an online journal that is (more or less) open to the public, where you can say pretty much whatever you are inclined to say. you can use it for a diary, or a news column, or as an outlet for opinions, or whatever you want.

Yeah. Some of the better known sites are LiveJournal, Greatest Journal, and Dead Journal. Mainly folks use them as online journals (obviously), but they are also great for finding people with common interests. 🙂

Thanks for all the answers. I was just extremely confused when I saw the word blogging. Now how easy is it to track down some of these ppl, like if I was to start blogging about things like cingular/attws, is their any way to be sure of not being found out who you are?

That depends on how clever you are, really. if you cover your tracks well enough and don't put enough info to let them identify you, then there isn't a problem.

i dunno. sometimes a good rant can make your day a bit better. but blogging.....i dunno. free speech and all that is good...but why "permanintly" post said rants for the world to view? alot of times when people rant, they say things that they would later wish they hadent said. so i fail to see the point of putting your neck on the line, just to rant off about how the washrooms are always out of tp, or the how the centers choice of paint on the wall makes you see purple space elfs everywere. id much rather get drunk and forget the whole deal. leave work at work.
