Credit info over the net...

Link

Feb 15, 2005, 9:21 PM
So this lady calls in who was online trying to order a phone and refused to put her credit card in because she wasn't seeing the "132 bit-encryption" message.

So what, you don't trust that we use a secure connection, you feel that a multi-million dollar company is going to use NO secure connection online? Go to a store and do the transaction with them, unfortunatly you can't get web pricing there and go ahead cancel, we got you in contract.

Shut up, stop your bitching, and trust us!!! We stopped phone cloning so we certainly use the best in secure connections, even if you don't see it.

RAWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRR venting fun, venting OVER... (for this post anyways).

On one web site that was apparantly less secure then a multi-million dollar company's website, I tried 8 times and I am still here today without my credit card racked up with erronious charges.

Another call, dude calls in blaming merger for his phone calls being dropped. Guy should of researched as the merger happened way before todays date. So no sir, your having problems because of something your phone has probably done.

I was going over the option of switching as he will get better reception in Texas on GSM, he stated he will switch to Verizon and can't get away. What makes them think that because Cingular took over AWS that it's now CIngular causing the problems. WHY?

This one guy who called in blamed the merger for his account being temp shutoff for nonpayment. "I've never had this happen before with AT&T, why is Cingular doing this". Tried to get it through to him AT&T shut off his account for not paying for 3 months. Of course, there was no way he missed paying the bill...

Ummm...

Verizon (cdma) and ATTWS (tdma/gsm) use totally separate, incompatible technologies. Therefore each company's mobile equipment can not possibly roam on the other's network. So, why in the world would you think that ATTWS and Verizon would have any roaming agreements at all? 🙄

Must be because cingular made him drop his phone in the lake as well, or is it Cingulars fault that the phone fell in some water. Heck what about it being cingulars fault because you used more than the minutes on the phone during the past 2 months and you havent done it in 2 months. Why probably the entire worlds problems are caused by the Cingular buyout. Am I right that Cingular is the cause for all the worlds problems.

Like the guy i talked to today who said that he didn't recognize some of the phone numbers on his bill and thinks that someone is routing calls through his wireless phone, hard to made an elderly person understand about ESN's and billed usage. 😕 🙄

con't ......... and obviously this has NEVER happened b4 Cingular took over and is all their fault, back to adding stuff to ppl's bills again?? get a grip ppl, it's not the provider, it might be YOU ,YOU used the mins and got charged, YOU roamed to NY but live in FL, YOU called a hundred #'s last month and now don't recognize them, IT'S NOT OUR FAULT, the reps nor the company, cuz we all know how the customer thinks the rep they happen to be talking to caused all the trouble they are currently having .............. 🤭 sorry, i'm done now

nope u are all just ranting about the little **** the best stuff is when they want out of the contract because cingular took over and when u explain to them (numerous times) that unless cingular decides to force migrate them to new cingular GSM and totally cut thier phone off they cant get out of the contract. the best ever is when they want to sue or go to courts cause of this EVEN though it states it in the T&C for AWS that unless major changes are done to the acct u cannot get out of contract. being on the resoultion desk for about 6 months u hear it all 😁 but man that was the funnest job ive ever had i love saying no to americans they are just a bunch of dumb spoiled brats who think the worlds problems are caused by companys who "charge...
