Look what the "successful" managers from AT&T are doing to SunCom
SunCom thought it would be a good idea if they hired some of the AT&T management.
Now lets look at that logic.
You have a very successful company whose stock is flying high. You have just consolidated your market. You are poised to launch the most competitive plans available.
What is your next move???? You hire the people who screwed up AT&T.
Some of the "little gems" that they have come up with are straight from their days at AT&T.
1. Every retail location MUST have all employees come in every Thursday morning at 8AM for a store meeting.

1. Every retail location MUST have all employees come in every Thursday morning at 8AM for a store meeting.
1A)By doing that then they can talk to their people on the floor, discuss what customers are wanting, what they are asking for, which can be forwarded on the regional manager to see what could be implemented, and the manager can update in person any new offers, which does happen on a regular basis.
2. Every retail store will be open on Sunday.
2A)Cingular customer care unlike the former att is not open on sundays, and customers tend to buy things on the weekend as they ddon't normally work weekends, so this way...

This is done now on an immediate basis...in person. As I said our managers are not holed up in an office. All new "deals" and information is immediately distributed to all sales associates via email.

We wore SunCom polo shirts with khakis. Customers feel more comfortable with us; we are physically more comfortable and the work environment is more relaxed and productive. But don't confuse the "shirts" with research and past history; they KNOW what works best.
