LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW, AT&T? A class action lawsuit by the Law Offices of Roger R. Ellis of Westlake Village, California and against AT&T Wireless (NYSE: AWE - News) was filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court and on behalf of all allegedly defrauded AT&T Wireless customers in California. The class action alleges, numerous offenses. First, AT&T Wireless has used false and deceptive advertising to bait customers with one plan and then, intentionally, switches customers to other more expensive and intentionally confusing plans without their knowledge or consent. Second, AT&T Wireless is allegedly double billing customers when family shared lines should not be billed at all! Unresponsive customer servic...

I think it's as bunch of crap. Why would a lawsuit include statement about "potential bidders"?? It's an attempt to drive down stock price and block the sale. IMO

Also, apparently, this same attorney "voluntarily" gave up his law license in 2000.

AND....he just got it reactivated less than 48hrs ago and has an AOL email address. Why would well known, powerful attorney have an AOL address???

This just stinks.....IMO

Like many people in this world, this person probably saw an opportunity to score some free $$$$$. I agree that it seems weird that he just "gave up" his license and had it re-instated on the 10th. Like Big Tobacco, he knows AT&T has deep pockets and wants his hands in them, and what better way to come out of "retirement" than to take on a Major Wireless company. Unfortunately, I really doubt that in the end, anything will result from this lawsuit.

Ya its probably just some guy bitching because he didnt want to pay his bill, was sent to an OCA and is now having his credit drug through the dirt. Or Verizon trying to stop the buyout and keep their vodaphone assistance 😁

I agree. My question is why this guy went to a lawyer who's license was not active? Why not go to someone who's actively practising law?
I still believe they are both looking for a payout or a quick out of court settlement.

This whole story is complete bullshit. If this class action lawsuit was so big, then it would be all over the news. Notice, there are no other articles, or any other CREDIBLE news reports regarding it.. And it is very poorly written. Just some disgruntled person attempting to stir the pot..
