Why is this forum always dead? This forum is for us reps that have been taken over by the Cingular Juggernaut.

Yeah so this lady calls and states she had a payment arrangement with us to pay a small sum of money a month until she was paid off. I advised her the month she stated she called in to set this non-existent arrangement up, there are ZERO notes.

I advised her this is impossible as we never ever setup payment arrangements like that.

She stated I was wrong, I advised her nobody is in the account for the month she stated she called in.

She also had a nasty call from the OCA, she stated she will file harassment charges with them and wanted her situation taken care of with me.

I advised her that I cannot assist her as this issue is no longer in our hands. She wanted someone who could assist her, I advised her no one can assist her. Sh...

Ugh. I hate when people don't listen. One lady I talked to:

"I shouldn't be charged roaming! I was told I had coverage in upstate New York, AND my phone said AT&T the whole time I was up there!!!" (which now that I think of it, is a complete lie since there is no AWS coverage in upstate NY, right??)

What type of phone?
If the customer had a TDMA phone then there is a very good chance the phone said AT&T on the display.

I just typed a resonse to this, but my login timed out (strangely) before it posted, but please disregard this post if the first one somehow makes it onto the forum.

The phone was TDMA. From looking at the Eastern TDMA local plans and the National plan, it looks like AWS has no coverage in most of NY state. Only the DOR map has no roaming there. Are there AWS-friendly towers or something up there that would result in an AT&T alpha-tag display on a TDMA phone?

From my understanding, anythign further upstate in NY has no AWS towers so Alpha Tag will display Extended Area or Roaming.
