I don't want a contract...
Yeah so I get this call from this guy who would rather cancel, pay the ETF and goto another company. Pay their start up fees and get a phone with a contract BECAUSE he doesn't want a contract with us for getting him a new phone.

I tell people like this that there are a lot of options besides getting a phone from us at a discount. 1. Pay full retail price. 2. Buy another phone from a person, ebay, manufacturers websites, etc. 3. Ask friends if they have an extra phone that works with our system.
I then caution the customer that we ony guarantee the phones that we sell. If they begin to ask questions like; "Will a nextel phone work?", I tell them they do not posess the technical knowledge to go it on their own.

Yeah I adv. them of the other options, I even have a sticky note that I copy the info from to paste into the notes.

I wouldn't want to contract with Cingular either. Maybe he's doing himself a favour. I mean if it was anybody BUT Cingular, he'd be stupid.
I probably would've credited the ETF just to make Cingular lose money. Its not my money. Hell, its not even Convergys money.
