Ours is only long enough to get the systems up. And if we try to do it before our schedule starts and we are on the clock we get in trouble.

Must be nice, we have to do everything before we get on the clock now, like starting up our computer (which takes about 6 minutes for some reason these days) loading our applications, and reading our email and hot topics. At the start of our shift we are then supposed to clock in, log into our phones, start taking calls at the exact same time so that our phone variance doesn't do up.

I know, it's not a big deal, but somehow it makes you feel all the more downtrodden.

yeah, and now we can't even clock in until we at least have those computers up, so we are forced to come in early and won't get paid for it.

I pretty much gave my notice when I found out. They are taking away all the slack. How do they expect us to deal with these insane people without any slack???? They took away aftercall...and GSM refferals...all the incentive is gone. Im a sitting zombie.

Im stressed. And this place is eating my soul.

hehe

Amen. Just when I thought I could not possibly feel more downtrodden and worthless to this company. *sigh*

thats wierd. we always USED to get Aux and its like the only time we can read our emails and hot topics and stuff. Usually I used it to go to the bathroom or get some food, but still, i dont appreciate it being taken away. I hate Cingular, hence the name!

WE only get 5 to log onto system, but we get paid by fon so if we bring our computer up then use that 5 mins before work to do whatever that's fine.

I have heard nothing except on this forum, about aux being removed. now ACW if they took that away i would freak

I completely agree about this "no aux" thing being absurd. I have to pull approximately 15 systems every day before I can start taking calls, all of which I use regularly. Aside from that anyone who has ever used Oracle knows it takes a good 2-3 minutes for it to up and ready on a good day. Naturally my TL had a solution...use ACW. Well that's a grand idea except it starts messing with my stats. I think it's just a big Catch 22. Probably another opportunity to "make us more effective" by instituting another useless policy that will ultimately lead to the end of someone's employment. But I'm sure it's best for the company and that's what counts. Who needs employees??

15? Yep, that's about right. PLUS, nice little hokey pokey time keeping system. blah blah blah!!! Nice to know that I can now get fired no matter what I do starting the day. 👿

Exactly. This way they can walk you out within the first 15 minutes you're there instead of having to wait until you take a call and do something as terrible as "rip your headset down" before answering a call. (which, btw, results in a coaching) I'll tell you what else is a real kicker, watching everyone else in my center take VGH and go home and knowing that I have to sign over my first born child in order to get two hours of PTO. It's like an ocean slapping against a watchtower: without repair it's going to crumble. [insert overly-dramatic evil laughter]

They are taking away our weekends, our aux, our PTO, our authority, our numbers, and our spirit. and now they are adding more responsibility and work load. I would say what the one last thing is that I like about being on this team is, but I'm afraid I'll jinx it, even though some of us probably wouldn't mind it. 👿

bag of baloney? hey now! baloney is an american institution! you can't insult it like that. call this something else, like a bag of rancid mustard!
as a matter of fact, we should make signs that say "NO AUX TIME IS LIKE A BAG OF RANCID MUSTARD!" 😲

I apologize about the mixup, sir. I was actually referring to rancid mustard, not ranicd mustard, but seeing as how those are so similar, I can understand how you would be upset.
Would it be alright if we instead referred to it as putrid potato salad?

*starts making signs saying "NO AUX TIME IS LIKE PUTRID POTATO SALAD!"*

That would be fine, our company name cannot be disgraced anymore, especially with that Mexican pygmy tomatoes lawsuit going on.

Yeah, I'm really sorry about that. I really liked those pygmy tomatoes, too. It's a shame that Bill Gates managed to muscle the courts into saying that microsoft owned the rights to sell them. now, whenever I go to the store and see "MS Pygmy Tomatoes 2.0," I sigh in sadness, remembering the old "Ranicd Mustard Brand Mexican Pygmy Tomatoes."
What the heck would Bill Gates even want with tomatoes? 😳
