Hi!
Anybody else have issues with tattletales telling on you for dress code??? I got in trouble the other day for wearing a skirt (seriously like 3 inches above the knee) because somebody told on me. Like in grade 3, i know! Anyways, i dont see why I should get in trouble and "get sent to Zellers" (that is RD Convergys code for "go home and change.") when guys are allowed to wear shorter skirts than me because it makes Convergys "diverse." (I have nothing againt crossdressers, but honestly, skirts shorter that MINE). My friend also got in trouble for wearing a shirt that "showed the tops of her breasts." Like, honestly, sorry for having perky boobs and not wearing a turtleneck! The worst is though, these regulations only apply to you if yo...

I hear ya! I got sent home for a shirt being 1/2 above my pant-line. Showing very little stomach and I get sent home! BTW, I'm not up where you are, but I am a third party vendor for Cingular like you. One girl got sent home for wearing jeans, while a TL always wears jeans on the week days! They'll warn me about low-cut shirts, but I don't remember signing anything about it! I have big boobies and it sometimes decent shirts don't fit right! Guys can wear skirts there? I'm not against those kind of things, but at work? I don't know if that's professional. 😕 Anyway, that was my rant.

Whats unprofessional about it? as long as they are fitting the dress code, I don't see why men and women should be subjected to different dress codes

If you were like this one girl who worked here, overweight wearing a tight t-shirt. Her belly hung out over her pants and I SWEAR her shirt was gonna rip apart.

That was wrong and my eyes have been violated.

Listen you little hoodlums....in my day a womans body was sacred!!! Not some piece of meat to drool over!! Land sakes children these days are really getting out of control. And ladies if any male ever spoke of my bodatious Duo that way.. I'd slap um silly!! Boobies are Gods gift to women, not to be set on a platter for men!! But boys I just so happen to be in a convergys call center as well if you wanna look me up. More Cushin for the pushin is a term I hear these days!!! Whooooeeeee! 😉

To Ihatecingular, if the place has a dress code that's enforced for all employees strictly at Convergys, you're of course SOL. If however, management is being selective of who to send home to change and who not to send home, definetly do one of two things:

#1, Make it so that the dress code DOES get enforced for everyone so favourtism does not apply (that of course could also to uniforms. ick.)

#2, Wear whatever you want and if they ask you to change, refuse. If they threaten job action on you, that's when the Labour Board can get involved to back you up.

Basically, just bring up the fact with management (and Labour Board if need be) that if the guys can wear skirts there, you should be able to as well. (Common sense I know.)

ladies, i think that dress codes are horrible. you should be allowed to dress as slutty as you want. unless you're really fat.
