their are so amny things i hate about this job but the biggest is not being able to release or pass off calls under any circumstances i just had to get my sup to release a call because of some prank calling kids that would not hang up also what about women who get those creeps who ask what their wearing or make other (much worse) sexual comments you should be able to hang up on them they don't know if you hung up on the cust unless their monitoring you and if their monitoring you they heard why you hung up.

I know that blows, it's funny they say they know when you release a call and all calls. It's BS, if they did know then a lot of people would not be working here anymore.

And of course when they monitor then they know. Actually I wonder if they even know then?

Who actually cares about the rules? I hang up on all prank calls... if the people want to f*ck around, I can too.

When I get prank calls, to avoid hanging up, I just say "Please hold while I transfer this call to the local police department." and put them on hold, 90% of the time they hang up right away.

Of course, now that we can't put people on hold, I put them on MUTE to avoid bad stats.

In all 3 call centers I've worked at, they've allowed you to give 3 warnings before releasing a call. It's odd to have to get sup permission to release an obvious PRANK call. 😕

This subject is one of concern for me as well...I had a monotone serial killer in training call me one night with a fon that lighted up when he looked away from it...and yes that is the issue the guy advised me of...my first thougt was send this guy to the D.R.O.P. dept. but of course...there are quality scores and job standings to maintain so I went thru the paces with this guy...I asked the cust. when the fon lights up and where it happens...He advised me in his shed every night between 9pm and midnite...I actually could've guessed he would be a shed dwelling type of person and I thru out there maybe it's the light source in the shed that's reflecting off the display...He shot me down with..."No...my shed is possessed." To get this guy of...

ya one time i got a call from a guy who said he could not give me any info over the phone (ie: his phone number account number or last 4 of social) because some one was after him and was secretly listening to our conversation not only that but he was whispering the whole time and the best part when i told him i had to have the wireless # account # or some sort of info to pull up his account and verify it he tried to escalate this was a call i actually did not want to hang up on because here's a call that i can say no to the cust all night long and not worry about getting in trouble.

The other guy's shed was POSSESSED? OMG 🤣

And this guy couldn't give you any information?

When I worked for TiVo, I had a guy who insisted that the light on the front of the TiVo was still lit even though he'd unplugged it (impossible.) Other reps got calls from people who's TiVo's either caused lava to come out of the TiVo, or turned into bats that flew onto the ceiling.

In T-Mobile CC I had a customer call up to say that she'd run over her husband and that she was going to kill herself. I advised her to call 911. 🙄

I don't know what centre you all work in, but ours we don't have these rules. We have to track our transfers and releases but i mean they didn't say no release. If itsa a dead air and stuff then we do the script release and track. If it's a bunch of kids we ask them to hang up if they don't release. What if the customer hangs up call doesn't release we gotta release that. It's annoying i fill an entire sheet everyday but if that's what i gotta do, then i'm gonna do it.

Crazy
