exactly i just heard that T-mobile had best customer satisfaction and cingular was 5th not last and here's an excuse for you Cingular is doing the largest merger in cellular history trying to combine 48 million customers into one system of course their are going to be mistakes and problems not to the point where they should be first.

That's a tough comparison in relation to US Cellular 18 total cust. in Timbuktwo. They all had that many complaints for Us Cellular that's terrible...Cingular needs to give everyone a free set of steak knives or maybe a wire stripper every time a cust. contacts us...then all the cust. will be happy and at peace with the world and maybe those steakknive/wirestripper manus. in america won't have to move to Mexico

Dang ! It sure looks like those US cellular customers have given up complaining ! I guess they know things won't get better anyways, so why bother ?

Not that this would be considered an excuse, as it would apply to all companies involved, but that particular survey only gives a general bar graph representation of what the actual complaints are in regards to. Now had the individuals conducting this survey followed up on these complaints (ideally speaking of course) one would have to wonder how the stats would have come out after the "unnecessary" complaints were weeded out.
By unnecessary I'm referring to those customers that have been offered very valid solutions to their problems but refuse simply because "they want more". Removing only the amount of complaints based on customers making a mistake and then blaming their service provided could, potientially, impact the results substant...

On related subject to this, I get a customer upset that she has a full month of service she didn't use her phone in.

She called on her first day of billing cycle, rep offered ever everything to save her, she declined, offered to lower rate plan to $19.99 so she isn't charged a higher rate, was done. Rep clearly advised customer of the End Of Bill Cycle Cancellation Policy.

Customer is now disputing that she wasn't advised she could use her phone for the last 30 days of service, HELLO, you were advised you have 45 minutes to use on the lower plan. Somebody call common sense because it clearly missed her as she fell out the stupid tree. She also stated that she was cancelled that day, of course not, you get the EOBC policy statement and ...

Thats ok, peopleare still buying and FYI, its over 50 million and the merger only had 46 million to starr off with. so a little over 4 million new activations since nov 15,2004 pretty darn good i must say.!!!!!

yea, that is pretty good, i have to admit. it was 49 when they counted it and thats what counts. maybe its 50 million now, but it was 49 when they counted it. most of that was becuase of the transition of att wireless customers to cingular.

there will be problems though. migration, 8k towers that are going to be divested, terrible billing and customer care.

cingular/att wireless has a big task ahead of them.

Sorry to be corrcting you, those are both current activations and new add ons of service, otherwise its still 46 millions, you take customer from the att pile, send to the cingular pile, the total is still gonna be the same.

What was done was with miggrations, customers got new lines, since they could on a family plans now have 5 lines, and current cingluar customers could also do that. Between that and the sweet deals going for new activation and migration that was 4 new million new activations.

exactly you can't do something as big as Cingular and AT&T merging and switching technologies used on the service without pissing alot of people off because digital towers are being converted to GSM towers to keep up with the demand and people are upset because they don't want to lose their old service old plan and do not want to have to get a new phone because it costs money give it a year and Cingular will have such good coverage and service a rep could tell a cust they like to eat a c0ck and the cust will say you bet just keep up the good service this is transition between two HUGE companies you cannot expect it to be flawless give it time and all other cellular companies will be second rate to Cingular guarenteed for all those that hop o...

yea, i guess your opinion is very valid. i respect that. of course you cant expect a flawless migration between these 2 companies, but it should be very close to flawless becuase they are dealing with a lot of customers nationwide and they need to take care of them or else they will be leaving.

"all other cellular companies will be second rate to Cingular guarenteed "

can you tell me what that means?

Here's a quickie...What color do you get when you combine Orange and Blue?

A: Fecal Matter Brown
B: Blue Orange
C: Swirlies
D: Fecal Matter Brown

if you chose A and D you are correct...Fecal Matter Brown is the correct answer as well as how I feel about this merger...it's pretty much all fecal matter brown
