Thank You Cingular!

For taking the most consumer-friendly pre-pay cellular plan and begin twisting it into an unfriendly unaffordable program.

With AT&T, I could pay $10 every 90 days and have a spare phone for when my kids went bike riding or were at school and needed to call for rides home. The deal was so good that I gave each kid their own phone. As of the first of the year, I'd have to plunk $20 or so onto one or two phones - no big shakes and a very nice deal.

Now, Cingular charges $1 for each day you use the phone, plus air-time. Not terribly outrageous, but when coupled with their new horrible coverage in my area and lousy customer support, it's just way too attractive to use Verizon's or T-Mobile family sharing programs.

Well done, Cingular...

Why don't you get the Cingular family share...

The Cingular family plans are much better than the others...

I will not activate a prepaid plan. I give them the toll free #. You are only paid $5/activation and if they do not stay for 90 days that is taken away. Plus they are the worst complainers there are.

You're going to need a refreshing beverage while you figure out any answer you get to this--may I suggest a nice glass of corporate grape Flav-R-Aid? 😛

I agree, the AWS Digital was the best when it came to prepaid, but (I don't know if anyone knows this) AWS GSM was charging something like $19.99/month for GoPhone without a contract? I can't remember but I think thats how it went.
