My equation for a good day....
It's so normal for us to show up and vent exasperatingly about customers, policies and the like that I thought it would be a pleasant change for someone to explain a good day at work. Now this only works if someone has a good day. My proposal is that someone quit, find a new job and come back to tell the rest of us what it's like on the other side in hopes that the masses will be stimulated and people worldwide will run, skip, and prance (because I know some of you like to prance...TheNoGuy) from Convergys centers. This actually is the base plan for my own world domination but, more of that later. For now I just need someone to get a better job so that we know it's possible.

Sweet words about a far off place...

Hold fast to dreams
for if dreams die
life is a broken-winged bird,
that cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
for if dreams go
life is a barren field,
covered with snow.

You just wait and see. Maybe I'll be lucky and end up with that job that makes me happy. If so, I'll regale you all with tales of working for a company that appreciates it's employees. A place that provides adequate compensation for the work expected. [wipes a tear] Should I be that lucky individual, reps from all over will flock to hear me speak. Yes, that will be the day. Convergys will rue the day they crossed me!!!

THE AFOREMENTIONED POST WAS IN NO WAY A THREAT TOWARDS CONVERGYS. IN ALL HONESTY, I'LL NEVER THINK OF THIS PLACE ONCE I'M GONE. I JUST WANTED TO USE THE WORD "RUE" IN A SENTENCE.

I like the word persnickety. (spelled wrong âšī¸ ) It means meticulous or fussy.

You know, I had never heard that word until about 3 months after I got on the res desk. I was talking to a very immasculate man who told me, with an incredible lisp, that I was just mean and that I was insisting on being persnickety (you spelled it right, by the way). I laughed so hard when he said I couldn't even think about being offended.

I also like the word frou frou. It's excessive and kind of gaudy. đ

I like rapscallion and shananigan, both are incredibly fun to use in calls. I'm trying to figure out a professional way to use hootnanny.

What about scurvy? đ

Once the call router went down and we sat all day long without taking one single call--we just read, talked and played with paper airplanes, it was awesome! Best... day... EVER! đ¤Ŗ
