I hate when my voice starts going out midshift.
It's almost embarrasing when your on a call speaking clear as a bell and suddenly...
"Yes maam, I'll be hassscaradpada...cough...choke..happy to assit you witharacscahhahah...sputter...can you hold on for me?"(hit hold button)
"Haawwwakkkk---phoooo!"
(take off hold)
"Alright, sorry about that...Now how can I haraghaharalp you!" Damn!"
I think at this point I should be able to just go home. Call it a day. Throw the towel in.
I know it's the crappy weather but this is ri-goshdarn-dicolous!

I don't know why, but that seems to happen a lot to me right after lunch. It's like my lungs and throat spend my lunch time recovering, and when they realize it's time to go back to work, they try to pretend they are sick to see if we can stop making them make sounds for us to speak with.
...
my voice goes almost everyday after lunch, it's like you give it the freedom of not talking to "special" customers, and they want to shut down, just like my brain, but then its time to go back to work!!
...
yeah, just my brain goes and makes my mouth not want to work 😁

It ticks me off when that happens, I had Bronchitis or whatever for awhile and I would go to take a deep breath to do my opening and then start to choke and die horribly. Still happens occasionally and ticks me right off.

Yah...what kills me even more when a agent that has raspy voice that never changes works here. How to you get by if you can't even attempt to communicate clearly. I hope she finds another job because her other bad habit is that she has a tone and demeanor of a amplified truck driver. Everything she says she practically yells. It's alittle unnerving and when her cust. escalate usually they start out with "I wanna file a complaint about that agent".

lol, i got feedback for something that wasn't even my fault, a cust said i had a poor tone and demeanor and he was pissed off that i could not charge his phones to his acct, i couldn't even have the power to do this and the rep who got him next explained the same thing so he did not get enough with bit$#ing at me so he filed a complaint cause i could not give him what he wanted in the first place
...
oh yeah and he was a verizon cust service rep too

Ha! I got a customer today who was super pissed about us giving him the runaround trying to activate his new cingular device. He screamed about the automated service, said he can't get it done, he needs to speak with a real person. I said "Whoa, ok. I have a number for the activations that do have people on the other end, so what I am going to do is put you on hold, get a representative on the line who can activate your service."
He said: (pick one)
A) Thank you. I can't tell you how frustrated I am with this whole situation
B) Ok, that sounds fine.
C)You mean I can't even talk to a real PERSON!? You know what, I DON'T WANT YOUR FU$*ING PHONE! *click*
I'll give you all a hint: it was immediately followed by me saying, "No, wai...
