New Job
I think daily about getting a new job. Then I remember I get paid $10 an hour to sit on my butt and talk on the phone. Not to mention, most of my friends work here as well as my bf whom I would never get to see unless I could convince him to run away with me.
That and the fact that its not really that bad. I can take b*tchy customers and verbal abuse on a daily basis, I just put them on mute and curse back.

The complaining by cust's doesn't bother me. What is just over the top ridiculous is the rules they make.

There are quite of people who knit here too, but they banned it except for in the break room, and who has time for that? We get 2 10 min breaks and a 30 min lunch. There was a time about 7 or 8 months ago that we would a half an hour, sometimes an hour between calls. We were not allowed to knit, play cards, even read! And of course the internet is pretty much blocked. The only reason I can post on this now is because the firewall is still down. We were required to just sit there and stare at our computers. Oh and don't even get me started on restroom breaks. We are allowed 2 per day, and they can't last more then 3 min each! They did that because people were clocking out on a restroom and going to smoke. So they made that idiotic rule and ba...

I work 40 hrs and get 2 15 mn breaks and a 1 hr lunch. If I told you what I made per hr your Jaw might hit the floor but lets say it is over $10 per hr. Yes I think about getting a new job all the time but no other company witll match what I make here 😁

I get paid more than 10/hour too, and I can't find any other place that can match this either.
Plus, we have about 30 mins each day that we're in queue... the rest of the time we wait anywhere from 5 mins, to 45 mins between calls. We can do just about anything we want. Someone here brings in their electric guitar (no amp, obviously), some people paint, read, knit, scrapbooking.. we even shoot dozens of paper balls a night (not me, but my team). We're not allowed gamboys/cell phones/mp3 players.. or any electronic device.. we can get fired on the spot for insubordination. Apparently we can program cc numbers and ssn in our phones and game boys... but we're ...

Wow, I get two 15min paid and one unpaid 30min. They couldnt give us less then that for a total 8.5 hour shift. Labour board would hear about it.

if knitting were banned at my centre then 1/2 of the people would quit in stead of knit, people like that (the ones who take things as innocent as that away) should be put in a rubber room with nothing to do for 2 days buck naked with nothing around, room completely empty, then they would learn what it feels like to be on this job

I work 6:45pm to 3:15 am every night. Half hour unpaid lunch and 2 15 minute breaks. Besides however many unscheduled logoffs I decide to allow myself and can get away with.

I reached my first hours milestone on my last pay and should be getting a Perfomance Appraisal but the cutoff was March 30th. Now I have to wait till... f*ing September, IF I stick around that long.
