The arrogance of ATT!

ATTneveragain

Mar 15, 2004, 6:37 PM
As of November of last year AT&T Wireless implemented a new policy to charge anyone who Ports out of AT&T at an any point during there billing cycle the entire amount of the month long cycle," (this could be one day into the cycle).

On behalf of all AT&T customers who Port out. This policy of billing a Customer for services never used should be investigated by the FCC and this practice by AT&T should be discontinued. I also hope that AT&T be held responsible for refunding all monies collected in this manner to past AT&T Wireless customers who have "Ported out" since November.

This is not a matter of arrogance its a matter of policy. This policy was put in place to help with cost on closing accounts. Whether you want to believe that or not is up to you. Customers have come to expect free this free that and think that if a policy is not up to there standards then they should'nt have to pay. This is a service thats provided which is very exspensive to maintain, upgrade, and run. If you rented a apartment 9 out of 10 will not prorate you final months rent. If you go to a movie and only watch half your not getting you money back. Those are not products. The company has a right to apply fees for certain things like the 15.00 upgrade fee for getting a new phone. That process fee is to cover cost of money lost giving a f...

a Big Booyeah to badspawn, I couldn't have put it better myself.

Just to add one more thing on, and I have asked customers this as well, how happy would you be if AWS prorated your bill and get this, your minutes too because your not paying for the full amount, and then you still use all those minutes and get a 300 dollar bill. I'll bet youd call and complain then because AWS should have known that its not in your best interest to have proration. Oh but of course thats not fair, just because youve been such a loyal AWS customer, I dont know how many times I've had that line of bullcrap fed to me by people who happen to be leaving us, you should be able to have your prorate and minutes too. I'm tired of this lets just lay down for t...

I'm just sick of them. All the people who phone up and figure "hey, I'll yell and scream and swear because i am the only one that matters and I will get what I want".
Well, boo freakin hoo that you cant cancel RIGHT now. AT&T Wireless is making you pay for a full month service? Those bastards...wait a minute...dont you have to pay a full months service at the end of EACH month?
This just seems stupid to me. They complain because of the EOBC pro-ration (either too confusing, they were overcharged, were not informed, etc).
Now that its gone they complain cuz they cant get pro-rated invoices.
Whoever said "The customer is always right" obviously has never been on a phone with some of the AT&T Wireless customers.

Man people do this crap with all types of business thats how screwed up civilization is. Or at least how screwed up America is. Europe was on the right track when they made customers buy there phones then come start the service then Motopaulies ass would be worrying about a job because customers could not blame the service provider fot their phone breaking. People want something for nothing and they think that if they Bit#$ enough then they get it. The people I speak to call in mad as hell about the policies but after I explain it to them most understand and thank me but a few idiots think they are above the law and rules dont apply to them. ESPECIALLY LAWYERS I swear if I get another stupid lawyer that calls and says hes taking ATT to court...

I know its probably consumed your life so much that you spent allot of time typeing that FCC complaint!! 😎 WHOOHOO!
