With AT&T coming out with WCDMA will the V600 work on that system as well?

no. BTW, who cares about WCDMA for now, its a long ways from being practical for cellular usage.

The news on the front page here said by the end of the year 4 cities will have it, seams like a lot of switching, TDMA>GSM>WCDMA

That's actually old news, AWS was planning to have those 4 cities (LA, Dallas, Wash, Chicago ... i'm pretty sure those are the 4 cities). This time they are planning to deploy them and have the sites ready by the end of THIS year. Even if they do so, they won't replace GSM just yet (can you imagine selling a service that only works in FOUR cities as a practical means of communication?) ... WCDMA is being built there for 2 reasons only:

High-speed data connection
Testing quality/service/cost/etc. in those markets

Again, don't expect WCDMA to really replace GSM just like that. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the fact that aquiring/using spectrum for this band will be very expensive, i doubt ANY carrier could dish out the cash to overlay th...
