Poor AT&T Signal strength in Chicago... Help

Ok, let me begin by saying that I'm a cellular novice, to say the least... so when I need answers, I go to the experts.

Here's my problem. I recently purchased a Motorola V600, service AT&T, location Chicago. Despite all the rants and raves about how great the reception is, 8-10 times indoors, I can't even get a signal. I've switch phones, hoping that it was a unit error, No luck.

YOUR HELP would be greatly appreciated. What do I do? Unlock the phone and take it to T-Mobile or Cingular? Flash/Flex or what ever the hell that is? Wait a while until the AT&T merger with Cingular? Or scrap the idea and go back to my v8160 with Verizon, continue living in the dark ages, but have a phone that works. Unfortunately, like the rest of you, I don...

Migrate to TDMA service, get like a Nokia 6560 or a multi band Siemens s46 or Sony Ericsson t62u and get the hell off moto-bull ****! you have 30 day buyers remorse so give care a call or go to a retail store.

I live in Chicago, and I've tried AT&T wireless, and ended up cancelling after 30 days and several different phones.

I'd suggest going to Verizon. I personally think they have the best quality service in Chicago, and in every city I've visited.
Any of the LG models are good. The old Moto V60 is excellent quality, but doesn't have all the lastest features. Stay away from the Moto T730.

Rants and Raves of the Moto V600?

OHHHH, you mean the raves about how feature-rich it is, because you certainly can't be talking about the rants and raves at the great signal quality it gets (since it doesn't get any great quality)

Try replacing that unit with a NON-MOTO phone.

My advice is if a Nokia phone does not work where you need it to, then either put up with it or switch carriers. I've been to chicago and my phone works good, though I didn't stay in homes I did stay at a hotel so I dunno if there are any differences. Regardless, get rid of the garbage you bought and replace it with a more useful phone.

Hopefully you purchased this at a store, and if you did, go back and exchange that phone for another unit. Simple as that...
