Just curious, where are you porting out to and why?

Hello!

Not trying to be inflammatory, but I read in Wallstreet journal awhile back that AT&T wireless had a net loss of over 350,000 customers first quarter as the only carrier to actually post net losses so far this year. So my question is where are you taking your service, why are you leaving AT&T, and how much happier are you with your new carrier? All replies (negative or positive) welcome. Have a friend with AT&T getting ready to switch service (tired of incorrect billing and hour-plus waits to talk to reps about it) and wants a feel for the industry.

Horrible customer service. Had a problem about a refund. I was lied to several times as to when I would get my refund. I filed complaints with BBB and the FCC. I was told by att wireless that no one would contact me about my problem. The FCC contacted att wireless and I got a letter from att wireless executive response team after being told by customer care that no one would contact me. Att wireless waived my contract as a result of my complaint with the FCC. I switched to Verizon and the service is much better. The customer service is top notch. Now I have a real wireless provider.

Customer service is not the best - I agree, but the company [AT&T Wireless] provides ridiculous procedures to their employess that cause the customer service to be far from superior.
