Service in NYC

I see ads in the New York City newspapers where ATT is saying their service is better than ever- Can any bottom give me a truthful assessment of service in the New York City area-

How about Chicago? When will the roaming agreements on Cingular's 850 go through here so I can get better coverage?

NYC's coverage is very good for AT&T wireless' GSM. Deffintely a good idea - just as long as you don't go anywhere else - AT&T Wireless service for GSM is kinda crappy.
