Keep the Bitchin Goin
We can say what we want it is FREE SPEECH, LOOK IT UP. It is hard to care about the customer on every call when you have sups and and managers that dont give a rats ass about you or your family or anyone else. A girl that worked here last year was on a final warning ( I know, its her fault ) and her father had a stroke and she was 15 min late and got canned. At my wifes job they dont care about how much time you have, how much is left, late from break, take lunch when you want or any of that. If you have a doctors note you get paid. There are no " OCCURENCES ", tardies or any other BULLSHIT like that. You get sick time which is paid to a point but if there is a doctors note it does not come out of sick time. If that girl was on final warning,,she must have had many minor occurances that did not involve a family trama.....Sometimes you need to save some demerits for the unexpected rather than the preventable!

You're absolutely right, it would be nice to have that flexibility. And it did use to be that way. There used to never be occurrences or tardies, etc. But over time, more and more people abused the system and as a company grows it becomes more and more difficult to single someone out. That's why there is the current blanket policy.
People tell me all the time that they can get their doctor to fill out a doctor's note for anything and anytime they want, thus keeping them from getting in trouble. Well, if one person is doing this, so is another and another and another. This is a business, and it's the type of business where they need the staffing. Without front line support, the queues get larger, customers get angrier and ultimate...
