Does AT&T prorate ETFs?

I'm just curious. I know Cingular does, so I imagine the Cingular/AT&T merged entity will, but do they do so now? I have an employee who wants to get rid of her AT&T phone, but is afraid of the ETF.

Cingular does not prorate nationwide, but only in certain states, mostly down south for some reason or other.

It's actually a carryover from the old Bellsouth Mobility days. Why they haven't eliminated it yet, I'll never know.

Cingular does NOT prorate their $150 ETF.

It says so in their Terms and Conditions.

And they only have a 15 day return policy.

they used to if you had a serv not changed before jun,2002 they would have had a $120.00 pro rated ETf,then in jun 2002 if the plan was changed it was under the flat 150 etf,then in jun 2003 it was made a flat 175 ETF,so thats where its right now.so depending on where she has her serv and the last time she changed her plan it'll fall under one of those.
