Started April 99 left Dec 03 (and never looked back). Getting ready to eliminate the 15min prep time (on the clock, now you have to do it on your own) and the LNP was still in the toilet along with 2+ hour GSM activations. Screaming customers (those that bought phones and could not or were not activated after 3 - 4 days had a right to scream). "Loved" the customers that called and screamed & cussed because "I" cut off their phone because they had not paid a bill in 90 days. Scheduled breaks & lunches (I am an adult, I like to be treated like one). The high school Harry atmosphere (rah, rah BS). My work constantly being monitored by faceless Quality scores. 🤣 many people think that cingular is going to close down the call centers well let me tell you this that is so wrong .... that pure b.s on what the rep's say its pure gossip and its untrue .. the people that quit are just scared of changes or they really dont know .. many people have to think in the bussiness side i just 🤣 at them when they walk out and talk all the ish

Time will only tell, but I have worked for SW Bell Mobile Systems (Cingular parent) and when they sold out to GTE Mobilenet and then back again as Cingular, there were no loyalties. Answer me this, if Cingular is not going to eventually get rid of AWS call centers (remember I said it would happen about one year out of the actual merger) then why did AWS management layoff all the IT people and project managers and did not offer anyone a relocation package if they wanted to keep their job and move to Washington state (on their own nickle) just before the merger was announced? My young friend, you have a lot to learn about corporate loyalty! The ONLY thing that matters is the BOTTOM LINE$ After all, these companies have stock holders to report ...

I'm not concerned about the call center closing. That is the least of my worries. If it does happen, and by the time it happens my BF and I will have our business off the ground, then it is back office for me, until University Starts.
