Bluetooth Phone Question

I have heard there is a USB device you can connect to your PC (mine is desktop, no Bluetooth/Infared) that will enable you to transfer to and from your phone/PC via Bluetooth.

Supposedly Radio Shack carries it, but when I inquired, they had no idea what I was talking about. 🙂

Suggestions on such a device?

You can get the bluetooth usb adapter right on EBAY. They generally run about $20 (with shipping) and work really well. ARe you looking to just transfer information between phone and PC or are you looking to use the handset as a modem device?

Just wanting to transfer pictures (mostly) to and from PC, and possibly ringtones to phone from PC.

Does anyone sell these locally?
Is there any software involved for particular O/S's?

The Bluetooth adapters are possibly available at Best Buy/Circuit City however at a considerably greater cost. As far as o/s's the software is inclued with the device. I am aware that many of the handsets with Bluetooth are not compatible with Mac's O/S.

I'm looking on eBay, and some devices say they are for specific phones--I didn't think that mattered?

And if it matters, I don't see any specific devices for my T637 (closest is 630, but think they are same phone?).

Suggestions? Thanks!

as long as you have a BT phone, you can use any USB BT adapter. they sell for around $20-50 at compusa or similar stores. you could also order one from the best computer parts site in the world, newegg.com 😎
