Headsets for SE phones

I know Sony is famous for being proprietary, but didn't give it a thought until I went looking for headsets. â˜šī¸

I got a free, corded one with my phone, which works great and good reception, except the earpiece is huge for my tiny ear. 😁 It is a hard earpiece (no foam cover) and uncomfortable (falls out, etc.).

I have seen there is a hands-free connector/adapter you can buy that will let you plug in a regular headset (non-SE), so I'm wondering if that's the way to go?

Bluetooth ones are expensive, and have heard people complain about Jabra not working, but Motorola does fine (with SE T637). And if I understand it correctly, anytime you use Bluetooth, you are depleting the battery faster.

I plan on using the earbud-type head...
