Anybody know of a Bluetooth Headset that works well with the SE W300i? I not only want decent sound quality, but I also want it to function well with the voice commands. Thanks!

Matt,

Try the Motorola H-700. This is my personal favorite.

Yea i agree, the H700 is the loudest and lightest BT i've experienced yet.

And worse audio quality on the other persons end. It is light and comfortable no doubt but poor audio. I've only compared it to about 8-10 others with different people and they all agree it sounded the worse.

Let me see if I can list everyone that I've owned off the top of my head.

Motorola - HS810, HS820, HS850, H500, H550, H700.

Sony - HBH-660

Plantronics - 320, 510, 640

Tekken EZTALK2000

Nokia - BH-600, BH-800.

My clear favorite is the Nokia BH-600.

Of the 13 I mentioned, I would rate the H700 above only 3. I would rate it above the Moto HS850, the Tekken and I would say its a tie with the H500, because it is more comfortable than the H500 and has the fold out mic.

does the nokia sit in the ear like the plantronics? that's why i won't give up on plantronics because they are so comfy!

The BH-600 doesnt sit as far in your ear as the plantronics, its more like most of the SE's I've seen, but the earloop is flexible so you can adjust it to just about anything.

Nokia BH-600. Best headset I've ever owned, and I currently only have 5 but I've owned or tried at least 10 headsets.

I'll check it out too. Have you ever owned or tried the Motorola H300? It's dirt cheap and uses a standard AAA battery (I like that). I have a feeling it might be a get-what-you-pay-for kinda thing, but it never hurts to ask.

No, I have seen them but would never want one you have to buy a replaceable battery for. Plus it would be heavier because of the battery. I have been reading good things about the Jabra BT-125 but I have my new favorite in the Nokia BH-600 so I am not in the market for anymore right now.

I don't know...to me the replaceable battery seems like a good way to go. All I have to do is keep a few in the car and I never have to worry about charging the headset. When it dies I can just pop in another one and I'm back in buiness. Also, with a non-removeable battery, once it stops holding a charge the entire headset is useless. I guess I have a few to pick from.

Well look at the Plantronics 640 or 655. You can charge it with 4 different kinds of chargers or you can charge it with a AAA battery if you need to.

A thing about the battery life - I've kept a headset as long as 2 years and it never stopped holding a charge so I wouldnt let that concern you.

Good point. It probably would be outdated before the battery stops holding a charge. I do still like the idea of just popping in a new battery when it dies instead of having to wait for it to charge. Not to mention I really don't want or need yet ANOTHER charger to keep track of!

I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-610a. I love it! It came with two extra face plates (silver and charcoal) so it matches my w810i and my w600i 😉

I went ahead and bought a Motorola H300 from Wal-Mart for $39. I figured with their liberal return policy it would give me a chance to try it out. Like I said above, I like the idea of a standard replaceable AAA battery. Ayhow, it works great! 🙂 It sounds great, it's loud enough at highway speeds, and the people on the other end say I sound perfect. It functions flawlessly with the W300i. I can answer a call, end a call, and place a call (using voice-dial) all without touching my phone. I'm a happy camper.
