TMob vs Cingular in NYC tri-state?

Because I frequently travel to Europe I'm bolting VZW in favor of one of the two GSM carriers.

Phones are Blackjack vs Dash and I consider them to be more or less equal. I mean one has WiFi but the other has HSDPA, one has bigger screen but the other has side scroll wheel, etc.

What I'm concerned is about networks and general coverage and quality. Cingy seems to have an edge on 3G data (which I would prefer to have) and overall coverage (correct me if I'm wrong) but compared to TMob sucks in customer service (according to Consumer Reports).

I'll appreciate your thoughts on this and help. Thanks!

ok if your concerned about data speeds go cingular. 3g is really fast and chingy has great coverage almost everywhere. tmobiles internet is way way slow. trust me i have an mda on tmobile and a blackjack with cingular. there is no comparison in data speeds. even with wifi with tmobile it will be way slower than cingular. hope this helps alittle.

and if you think about it, how often do you actually deal with customer service, the only times that i can ever think is starting your new plan, upgrading, or trying to squeeze out a deal to get the hot new phone. Cingular is your best choice, Tmobile over rated, brother and roommate have them, and they hate it now that 3g is coming to the U.S. all over soon and Tmobile is way behind on getting their service up. when you goto Europe like i do, you have activate your International option, so you don't screwed by either company, so go with Tmobile if you just want to look pretty in pink.
