W810i NOOB HELP
Hey guys I just ported over from vzw and I picked up the w810i & I have a couple of questions. I heard you can debadge the phone using wotanserver.com or davinciteam or something like that, but what in DETAIL does that do for your phone (what does it unlock or customize)? Which one is better? Which one is cheaper? Any advice on this issue would be appreciated!

I really don't know what debadging is, but it sounds to me like something that could void your warranty. âšī¸ just be careful, that phone is too nice to ruin it. how do you like your cingular service so far?

When you debrand your phone with wotonserver or davinci, it won't unlock your phone.
Debranding will get rid of all the cingular crap in your phone, it'll make it like it was just born in a sonyericsson factory.
You will lose the medianet stuff, and buying of ringtones, etc.
You gain:
- mp3 as ringtones, no time limit.
- Updates OTA
- Ability to run flash based themes
- customize the mediaNet shortcut key to anything u want.
- disable camera sounds
- ASR.

I did a lot of research into it and having OTA update and flash themes was enough for me to think about debranding. I haven't done it yet, but i think i eventually will one day when i am bored through wotansever.com.
