that phone/store rebranding would be in late March. Can anyone say if this is still the schedule or if any new updates are available.

CS said could be up to 2 years. Just curious since I need a new phone.

The rebranding will not effect your ability to get yourself a new phone. No need to wait.

Thanks for the help but that is not what I was curious about. I wanted to know when everything would be changed to the at&t logo/name.

I know I can upgrade now I just don't want to have a "Cingular" branded phone when everything is fixing to be changed to "at&t". I know it is the same network blah blah blah but I don't want to spend a lot of money now if the brand name is changing soon. 😁

It is unknown on that issue. New handsets coming out this summer COULD have the new logo but I doubt they will take the time to redo existing inventory.

Sadly, you still won't be able to keep your old legacy plan and simply "upgrade" your old AT&T Wireless phone. You sill would have to switch to a new plan. Sigh ... there should be some kind of auto-post to flash this information over and over. Thankfully I don't take regular care calls anymore!

Umm.. you got me confused with someone else. I am a Cingular customer.....spell that.....c i n g u l a r not AT&T Wireless so no auto-post is needed here bro.

You might wanna check up on it first before you post.

I'm done. 🤣

Sorry about that. In that case, I suspect that phones with the AT&T globe logo should be showing up around April and June. We all know that the iPhone won't have "Jack".

Now, the interesting thing to know will be when the network name will change. Let's see, we've got folks with AT&T branded phones that say Cingular and soon we will have Cingular branded phones that will say AT&T.

I bet that you will be able to get replacement keypad "covers" (the name escapes me, it's the flex part with the numbers imprinted on it) with the new AT&T globe later this year for several of the current phones.

Interesting..........Thanks for all the info! 😉

It is all kinda a mess if you ask me. I will just be glad when they settle with all the at&T branding on phones/stores/network display so it will all be over.

It's already really messy. I'm wearing a Cingular vest and an at&t name tag. The signs inside the store and my windows all say "the new at&t" but the awning around the store says Cingular.

You have a Cingular vest? Lucky bastard!!

I have be modeling my new AT&T shirts at home. They have a great color selection this go around. No more lime green or orange. Well, I was a fan of the orange.

P.s. - Still haven't gotten my paid for Cingular signs yet. Waiting on the sign vendor to return Cingular's call. Or so I am told.

supposedly cingular/at&t is in no rush to change into at&t....they own both names so its no big deal...they want their customers to tell them when to switch or if they should even switch at all.

Cingular spent all that time bashing at&t wireless, so it makes things difficult for customers to comprehend when the at&t name resurfaces.
