Thoughts On New Comp for COR Sales People
Just wondering on what peoples thoughts are for the new Comp. I was a former blue employee that left the company in Sept. and came back in Jan. and saw the new comp structure.
When they first changed it to an opp based structure I thought it was going to be decent because they said it was based on total opps but they later changed that because it was affecting managements checks. They said we still needed to hit a gross add quota plus opp quota which basically meant they raised the upgrade requirements and paid out less. The feature part was nice because it paid 25% more but you had to sell more to break even at the end of the month.
Now they are paying out less on upgrades/new activations as well as paying out less on features...

well it all comes down to cost. it costs the company more to operate a cor store than an agent store of course. so in order to attempt to close the gap i beleive they would change the commission scale given employee paychecks would be the highest costs for a company(in most cases). Just go work for an agent, its less stressful, sure you dont get a free line anymore or cingular health benefits. but i see where ur coming from, you would think they would take care of their own first before agents right?

I work for a premier agent and I know they must have changed how they pay us this month. We now have a much higher gross add goal and if we don't hit it we don't get any bonuses at all which means it is going to be a huge pay cut for a lot of people. They also require a certain close ratio with our shopper tracker to get a different bonus as well. It will be interesting to see how employee turn over is effected by these new policies.
