my question is the phone has ptt does any one know what platform they will be using, ptt set up time and things related to this topic, and if other phones with ptt will be ready for release when ptt roles out

Some z500 have PTT but in regards of Cingular launching a PTT version at this time? No. The phone is slated for October and PTT won't launch until Jan '05. The phone that Cingular is testing for PTT is the moto v400p

Considering the fact that many people have a cell phone for talking AND a boost phone just for chirping, I'd rather have both in one. It's your opinion homie and there's mine. Just don't buy a PTT phone and ignore that service and be happy! 🙄

Many people don't.. I'm still up in the air with it myself in regards to getting the PTT from cingular. I'm getting the s710a soon and about a month or two later, PTT should be launching. I want to use this phone but also want PTT. Might end up getting the boost after all (unless Cingular provides PTT free on the ERP plans). Out here, Nextel has that market on lock (verizon and sprint can't touch them). I don't know how much of an impact will Cingular make when they launch their PTT.
