they aren't.

The current att phones will stay on ATTWS rate plans until the customer wishes to migrate to a Cingular plan, then they will get a new phone and new 64k sim card.

ok, so what about the people who want a cingular plan but want to keep their ATTWS phone ?

It won't happen... if a current ATTWS customer wants a cingular plan, they will need a cingular phone and new 64k sim card. Until, they get the new phone and sim, they will keep the attws service they have, but will still be able to use our network.

yes and no.. the new cingular plans will not work on an att customer unless they have the 64k sim, the old phones won't work with a 64k sim.

what do you mean by 64k sim? could you elaborate on this? this is the first time i have heard of it
