processing time

I placed an order for an upgrade to LG L1400 on their website on Monday, sept. the 20th. According to them I should get it on Friday. Today is Thursday, I called them again and they said everyting is OK but they didn't even processed my order. It's ridiculous. My old phone has the battery almost dead. This is driving me crazy. 👿 I'm thinking about calling them again, cancel the order and move to another carrier.

Is this something usual for Cingular or am I unlucky?

fist of all, you should have checked to see if your local store would honor the internet price. depending on the market and/or the store manager, they might.

otherwise, if your order is set for friday delivery, and it is currently thursday, i would wait until friday before starting to worry.

every company will tell you if you order from the website, it takes more than just a few days to get your stuff, unless you pay for extra shipping.

that is one of the biggest comparisons between e-shopping and store shopping - "wait vs now" the question is which is worth more to you?

Thanx for the reply

I know what you say, it is not the first time I buy from e-stores.

It is not about shipping as long as they didn't even processed my order.

I am their costumer for 1 year,my contract expired and I chose to upgrade my phone and sign for two more years. They have all the data they need in my account.

As far as I know a decent time for processing an order may be 1 or 2 days not one week.

as far as you know it takes that long, well ahem you dont work for the company, so dont make assumptions, they set your expectations for friday, theres no reason you should have even called to check on the status in the first place, THEY TOLD YOU FRIDAY, you still chose to place the order, why are you complaining after the fact?!?! it makes no sense! patience is a virtue, get some

I just have to comment on this portion... Even customers for 12 years may have to wait... Do we try to expedite the order? Yes, yes we do... Is it possible that when a company ships hundreds of thousands of phones a day there may be a wait time? It's possible... And you made the choice to get a phone at a HIGHLY discounted price... Signing a two year contract is not a favor to cingular... it's the requirements for the price you get the phone... I'm not trying to come down on you by all means... But the expectations you have of any compan

This is what your website says:

"If you placed your order within the past 24 hours, then your order status may not yet be available.
If you still receive this message, contact Customer Care at 1-866-562-6061."

That's what I did.I assume that if I placed my order 7 DAYS AGO it should be available by now.

"Even customers for 12 years may have to wait...Is it possible that when a company ships hundreds of thousands of phones a day there may be a wait time? It's possible..."

I agree I have to wait but it is my right to know from the beginning for how long.Or at least I should be able to check the status of my order after one week of waiting.

If I knew it takes so long maybe I would make it through a local dealer.

I can b...

Don't call customer service... If you ordered through sales over the phone call: (800.986.2355) if you ordered e-store call National activation center (800.507.9213) and tell them to expedite the order. They both have axx to e-mail the wharehouse directly.

I called again today and I was told that due to an error in their system blah blah blah... my order hasn't been processed yet. It will be in the next 48 hrs and I will get the phone next week.

I wonder what happens to the "15 days stress-free return policy" . If it is counted from the moment I placed my order it will be expired before I can see the phone.
