cingular vs t mobil (reception and coverage?)

Would anyone comment on reception and coverage with both carriers, is there a difference or just about the same?

t mobile cust's will always lean for t-mobile... fact of the matter is... Cingular has the larger network... t-mobile has roaming agreements w/ cingular (Not in all areas). That's really all there is to it as far as coverage.

Tmobile only uses 1900 Mhz, so coverage is limited to places that use 1900 Mhz. Cingular uses 800 AND 1900Mhz in many markets, not to mention ONLY 800 in some markets as well, so even if you are a tmobile customer, if you can roam off cingular, you will only roam off us is certain areas, not everywhere.

and covergae in "general" with t-mobile is ok to poor (depending where you are). i get a lot of people every week in my store that have bad things to say, mainly because the area i work in is on the border of their coverage area, yet Cingular's coverage is good, due to the...

as you should, because we also use 1900 Mhz as our primary in california

thanks very informative, my concern is the suburbs and rural areas, but i guess that depends upon location, time of day.
