Official Letter From Cingular About Opening AT&T Towers In The NYC/NJ Market

NYC Associates: As you may know, we received word from AT&T Wireless that (at our request) they had opened six LACs (Location Area Codes) to Cingular's Customers in the NYC Region. This gives all of our customers enhanced coverage in Eastern Long Island and Northwestern New Jersey, as well as Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties in New York within the respective defined calling areas of each customer's rate plan. This is GREAT news.



IMPORTANT: Our subscribers' handsets will continue to prefer the Factory Joint-Venture network as the primary service provider. In areas where the AWS network can provide even stronger coverage than the Joint-Venture (JV) network, our customers will be able to receive service on the AWS network. This ...

as of now most of Morris County was opened up, except Morristown,NJ with its surrounding areas, does this mean that Morristown will have to wait untill after the merger??

or are they still working on it..??? (and Morristown could be opened up anytime this coming week??)
