New VZW IN-Network Changes....

--------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------

From what I have been told, Starting Monday VZW Plans will change:
Your unlimited "In Network" mins will no longer have to be used "in Network".
Now almost the entire USA extended roaming areas/partners are all in-network!
What this means is, if you call another VZW customer, neither of the callers would have to be in a VZW network, to have the call(s) taken from the unlimited mins pool!
There will be a PRL update on or about Monday that goes along with this. (*228, option 2). As with most PRL updates, most likley there will be a s...

On the flipside, Cingular was the first to copy Verizon (along with most every other carriers) by copying Verizon's unlimited mobile to mobile calling idea.

Actually, Cingular offered Mobile to Mobile on the very first Family Talk plans. M2M was offered on plans for years, but was dropped due to the expenses. When Cingular went GSM, it started offering M2M when the market demanded it again. You can thank Tmobile for bringing M2M back into the spotlight. They offered unlim M2M and Unlim text for 9.99 month on their "Buddy" plan. Now you can get M2M from everyone in some form or another.

I'm gonna have to go with Cain on that one. T-Mo was the first carrier I EVER heard with M2M for free. I NEVER heard anything about M2M from VZW until the "IN Network" was introduced. That's not saying that it didn't exist, but by the time people were being encouraged to "join in" I was already enjoying free M2M from ALLTEL, ATT had it to my understanding, and so did (gasp) Cingular. Sorry, I just don't see how Cingular is "copying" VZW.

On a brighter note I'm happy to have been informed today that I now hold a position as a sales rep for Pacifica Wireless, an Exclusive Cingular Agent company. I'm sellin Cingular baby!!! 😎 Bout time I could finally call myself a wireless employee up in here!!!

not really, ever donated blood or plasma? ya know that guy that takes your vital signs and then asks you all those questions about whether you've ever had sex for money, ever used IV drugs, or had a tattoo within the last year? Yeah, that's what I've been doing, and it SUCKS! Talk about outrageous quotas, our Plasma center is required to process 1100 donor PER WEEK!!! Which means I have to rattle off those 22 or so questions, take vitals with an ancient machine, and enter data in a computer in under 2 min. per donor.

I think I'll enjoy selling phones much more. At least there I won't have to stand in one place all day.

I think it's safe to say that this isn't what Cingular uses to differentiate itself from VZW. The biggest, most apparent difference between Cingular and EVERY other wireless company out there, and they're VERY big on stressing this, is Rollover. Cingular's the only company that offers rollover minutes. They use this as a means of standing out in an increasingly growing market. Kinda like Cricket is using "Free Phones" to stand out. They offer ALL of their phones free with unlimited plans. Course some of them are a little behind, or lacking in features, but the average Joe doesn't know that, all they think is "free and unlimited".
