So I have been thinking of getting either the S710a or the W600i from eBay. I was wondering which I should go with. I want something a little more unique look to it & great features. These two have the features I know I need/want & that cool swivel to it. I am SET on getting one of these two models, so please do not reccomend some other phone. Any feedback is helpful

I would recomend the w600i. The only edge the 710 has is its awesome screen. Its downfalls are battery life, the buttons are inset and hard to press sometimes and the size is just a little too big. The w600 was a great phone when I used it. Awesome speakers, batterlife,UI,and RF. I hope cingy brings some more of Sony's unique forms back.

I thought about that too. Pretty much the only thing that is making me consider is that the S710 had the expandable memory. And the photos look like they are a bit better.

The w600i is an improved S710. The s710 had some issues (lagging, freezing up sometimes, battery life) I still use my w600i here and there. The w600i had the white screen issue, but you can always get the latest software from SE's website... After I got the white screen I fixed it in no time.

yes, on sony's website they have firmware/software updates for all their phones and with the usb cable that comes with your phone it is easy to install.

I would say the S710 the w600i has more bells and whistles but it's a orange and silver piece of junk that has a bad habbit of falling appart. The screws holding the 2 parts together tend to fall out so you have 2 halves of a phone not a whole phone. And while this is a known manufacturer's defect if you buying it 2nd hand off ebay you won't have a warrenty on it.

I have heard the same for both phones. I think I am gonna get the W600i. The s710 is larger in size & the MSDuo slot isnt all that- Only upgradeable to 128 MSDuo. The W600i has twice that. Granted, you cant expand the memory & the camera isnt as good as the S710a, but I know I can find it new. Cant find an S710a NEW anywhere. And I already talked to several reps about warranty. They said that as long as the phone has not used a single minute (the warranty would start from first time the phone is used for voice functions) it would be covered under the MANUFACTURER (not Cingular warr exg) warranty. Called SE to verify & they said yes to that also.... Anyone heard otherwise? (just in case the reps were wrong...)
