Minutes, Texts, Billing Cycles and Cingular...(Upset)

I have been noticing for a few billing cycles now that my text messages are being billed wrong.
My billing cycle ends on the 2nd of each month. However, when I check my text message usage (as today) they are counting all the text messages I have sent from the 2nd (last day of last billing cycle) WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
My minutes are fine. It shows all my calls from the first day of the billing cycle (March 3rd) but my texts messages are WHACKED! I was like 😳 when I saw I had used 70 texts (36 of them were from March 2nd) WTF???? I feel somewhat cheated... 😕

Well, if it's the last day of your billing cycle it would be counted. It's not the day after the last day of your billing cycle. Now would you like to explain how your messages are 'whacked'? You need to explain what's going on in big boy words because I'm not seeing a problem here.

Obviously you are one of those people who think the customer is always wrong. I know what I am talking about here cuz I worked for Cingular and this is just not making any sense.

My billing cycle started on the 3rd of this month. So, why when I check my text messages it counts more than 35 text messages from March 2nd? This puts my text message usage at 70 (when it should be 34) THAT'S whacked!

I wouldn't think that way if the customer wasn't always wrong. So it counts more than 35 of 70 leaving 34. That's some great math. But that's besides the point. Are you sure your cycle is on the third or are you confused on that still? And in some instances the minute cycles/media cycles do not run the same day as the bill cycle. Your bill may be generated on one day but may report a different time period.

If you worked for Cingular you would know posting here will gain you nothing. If you are so sure you're right call into care and have them adjust it.

it's just like minutes, they can take a little while to roll in. delayed billing. it's not normal, but it happens. it's not really a problem, but i know it's annoying. it happened to me when i moved up here for the first few months. and i hate to break out the old 'check the terms of service' bu...

I try not to remind the customer of the TOS if possible. If nothing else Cingular has covered their asses on everything imaginable. But explaining things from a customers view(like you just did) helps. Granted again if he were an agent he should know these things.
