Where is the 6230?

they are in the warehouse. i ordered mine on Friday. DDR sent out 3 to my store today, other stores should be receiving them soon.

Once they are in the warehouse how long does it take the stores to get them? and where are they expected out first, everywhere or just some markets? any help is appreciated.

once the warehouse releases them, any store can order them. your manager has to give you the ability to order first, of course. don't know if all markets are getting it first, but the should. we are GSM all over now.

Forgive my ignorance but did you just call the regular *611 and go to sales. Does it allow me to us my upgrade? Would it be quicker if I wait for the store to get it? If someone could answer this it would be very helpful.

Yes, I called them directly, and was upgrading my poor old 8390. I mentioned the post on here about the phones being in the warehouse. So the rep checked and said I could go ahead and order one... so I did! (I'm in NorCal, btw.) That was pretty much it.
Price was $149 with 2-yr and $199 with 1-yr. It's also FastForward compatible.

I called to check on my order today and (surprise surprise), it's now showing as backordered. After a lot of prodding, the rep checked and said that the phone should be released tomorrow (9/29), so that's why it's coming up backordered.
Kinda made me wonder why I could order it ahead of time (and why they'd charge me for it already), but I'll just be happy when I get it.
I'll post again when it actually ships... hopefully in the next couple days. (I'm not holding my breath.)

the reason they are not in the warehouse is because they went to the stores. Call the store... they may have it.

Not in California they don't. (Not even on the website here.) Not sure why.

They are suppose to be released October 3rd from what i am told, which is a sunday, which is of course Cingular's fashion, we just today got in our dummy phones. So it shouldn't be too much longer, the e317 is suppose to be shipping along side the 6230.

The weird thing is that you can find them on Cingular's site already for (seemingly) everywhere but the West Coast.

I don't undestand this whole thing about Cingular being backordered already. The phone technically hasn't been released until sunday. i'm waiting on one for me personally, i sold my v600 because it had too many problems. I've been using an old 6200, which is nice but i'm ready to get my mp3's back and other stuff...
