Could unlocking my phone cause damage to BT profiles on my phone?
NOTE: I guess this puts an end to my boycott on phonescoop. I had no other choice.
Anyway, I recently unlocked my W600i and noticed a dramatic decrease call quality while using my BT headset. It's not the headset because I can use it with my w810i just fine.
It's very bad. I mean, I could be away like 2-3 feet and it'd be very staticky. WTF? How can this happen?

Anything is possible, I would suggest trying to find someone that can debrand your phone, and install the orginal SE software, and see if it helps, otherwise if all you did was unlock it your prolly stilll within your 1 year warranty i hope, and i you neglect to tell them that you had it unlocked they'll replace it for you.....

I can't believe this. My warranty expired three weeks ago! Can you believe my luck? I didn't de-brand the phone; I just unlocked it. I am very upset about the whole thing though because I can't use my BT headset anymore. Today, I was walking and I had my phone in my hand and all of a sudden I lost the call (transferred to the phone) I was like 😳. It's like the BT antenna lost range and can barely stay paired to the headset.
I'm thinking about doing a phone software upgrade, but I am pretty sure that if I do that I'll lose everything on the phone. I'm a bit lazy to move everything to the PC and back to the phone ðŸ¤

I have decided to fix this phone myself. I need to know if someone out there knows about a website (or anything of that nature) that will show the inside of the phone. I have decided to open it up and try to find the BT antenna, but since I have never opened my phone I'm scared to mess it up. I have opened several phones before, but these phones were pretty much paperweights.
(BTW I looked in howard forums, but I hate that website. It's very disorganized and I have never been able to get useful info from it)
