Do a search in this forum on v3xx to find opinions on the handset. The consensus is that this phone is one solid piece of equipment with excellent features.

It's the third highest rated phone that Cingular offers. Highest rated if you're only considering next generation phones.

Also check out the user reviews.

I've owned and used both the CU500 and the V3xx and the former was only for a short time simply because the V3xx was so much more solid and appealing. Everything about the phone is truly quality.

Moto basically took any and every flaw in the former RAZR models and fixed them, resulting in the great phone that the V3xx is. Forget about the CU500, you won't regret it.

I have both and honestly prefer my LG. MP3 is easy to access on both. Reception is going to be the same. Battery is comparable. Sound quality though the LG is superior, stereo speakers. The V3xx has its speaker on the back, right where you put your hand. Even without any muffling the LG is louder and clearer.

LG does have stereo speakers, and therefore is louder,
The reception is better on the v3xx(i've used the cu500, A707, and i'm now using the v3xx).

The cu500, has the best speakers and the best outside display, and mp3 controls)

the A707 has a beautiful inside display, outside display is worthless, but can play any song file, if using google maps i would reccomend this phone, camera doea have a 1-2 sec lag when snapping a pic

The v3xx can play any song file, great inside screen, outside screen is not the best but is workable, navigating through the phone is instant(no lag when searching through the menus), camera snaps instantly, perfect reception, have not had any issues with battery life,....only con for me is when using google ma...

Personally, I prefer the MP3 player of the V3xx. It's well organized, easy to access and wasn't a hassle trying to get songs to play. I ran into some issues with file formats and sizes on the CU500 so that was a bit frustrating for me.

As far as volume in call, I would say the V3xx is better (as long as you place the speaker properly over your ear) as I also had volume fluctuation problems with the CU500.

From what I experienced reception-wise between the two handsets, both are capable of holding a decent signal...but I have had more hands on experience with the V3xx and it has never given me trouble in that area.

Finally, I can't really speak on the battery life of the CU500. The V3xx does not have an issues as far as that goes. It...

Have you ever even used the V3xx? You don't have to answer that...I already know from your post that the answer is a resounding no. 🙄
