Ok I have an upgrade due on my account, and I have a really hard time making up my mind what I want. I'm torn between the Blackjack and the V3xx.

I dont really want to pay the PDA Connect $39.99 a month (please, spare me the Media Max 19.99 advice), and I dont use 3000 txt msgs a month either. But I love the cool factor of the phone, plus some of the smartphone features as well.

I like the V3xx because it's capable of 3.6 HSDPA. And, I'm willing to pay the 19.99 Media Max for Cingular Video.

So, having said all that, here's what I want my new phone to do:
1. 3G. This is a must.
2. 1.3 mp camera, at least.
3. mp3 player (no itunes)
4. good signal strength

Given those 4 requirements, I'm open to suggestions on other pho...

If you are stuck between the two I would go with the v3xx. Blackjack is nice but hitting the ok button while toggling is enought to make any sane person want to throw it up against the closest brick wall. Personally I use the v3xx, sync, blackjack and e62, with the sync being my first choice, speed,2mp camera great mp3 player...good luck with choosing

Unless your looking to view attachments, or recieve e-mail from a provider other than bellsouth, aol, yahoo, or MSN.....then i would go with the v3xx......

I bought the blackjack for my girlfriend and it works great for her texting b/c she has small fingers..

The v3xx works flawlessly, i have had just one issue with the phone, which was google maps(you can use googlemaps, it just drives you crazy b/c you have to constantly grant internet access.)

the v3xx is my phone of choice, having used the w810i, cu500, and SYNC.

The v3xx has no lag at all, the 1.3 MP camera works great, would even go as far as saying it's better than the SYNC's 2MP camera based on the functionality of both.

I would recommend whole-heartedly that you go with the v3xx. Aside from the Blackjack's smart-phone functionality, the v3xx outperforms it in almost every way.

I personally use the v3xx and there are simply no issues that I have come to find on this device. The camera quality and operation is excellent, MP3 player is wonderfully easy to use, the reception is one of the best I have experienced and the speed is top-notch when it comes to Cingular's line up.

I assure you, the v3xx won't disappoint the expectations you've listed.
