.... is this new Blackjack I just got for Cingular supposed to have this blurred call quality compared to my Treo 700p I have for Sprint? It's so bad that the speakerphone is almost completely unusable. Could this be a lemon or is this normal because I am about to trade it in for a Treo 680 but I'd rather have the 3g capability if this Blackjack just needs to be replaced. Thanks

Sold a few dozen of these guys with no complaints like that. Sounds like a dud.

Take it back to the store in the box and all that came with it and exchange it. That is not typical on a blackjack. as much as i hate that phone, the one thing it does quite nice is voice.

Crack, why do you hate BJ so much? Is it this fast typing thing? I'm not a huge typist and thus quite happy with mine. I mean considering nice small form factor that dictates compromises I like specs (except for no Wi-Fi), scroll wheel, voice, screen, reception, 3G (though not quad), Quad Band, nice Samy/Cingy additions (launch strip, etc.) that somewhat compensates for castrated WinBob. Except for WinMob (I'm an old Palm OS geezer) what not to like?

This is the thing; it is loud, but not as "crisp" as my treo. with speaker p=hone on i can hear and be heard, but not clearly. i got it off the internet from tmi wireless. i think with their guarantee I might only be able to get a different phone within the first 15 days, which means now is my only shot at something better. I'm worried that if I do get another Blackjack, that it will be the same, and then I'm stuck, but I'd really like the Blackjack with it's 3g, even though my area doesn't have it yet. BTW, anyone know how to find out when your area gets 3g? So are you sure that the Blackjack is supposed to have clear/crisp sound quality? Thanks
