LG CU500

I want to know if i'm the only person here that is having "issues" with my LG CU500. I'm not sure if its the network here (Mississippi) or if its the phone. I'm dropping calling like crazy. When I lay the phone down like on a counter at a store or on my car seat...the phone starts searching for a signal. It takes it FOREVER to find a signal once I do that. I've been a cingular customer for more than 10 years, so i know the coverage in my area is great. I just didn't know if maybe they were having some network problems or not.

Call customer service and they can help isolate the cause of your problems. May be network issues, may be a phone issue. Call from a different phone, because they will need to have you do some things to your handset.

And make sure you actually have a 3G SIM card in there....we've experienced a lot of problems with stores giving customers the wrong SIMs. If it doesn't say 3G on it, have them replace it...plus it's always good to try a dif one before you call in if you have to. 😉

I don't have a 3G sim card buy my sister does. She has the same phone and we have the same issues with it. My Blackberry (2nd line) will have service when this LG has nothing. The bad thing about it is that when the LG loses service it takes it FOREVER to find another signal. I think thats just a LG thing though. I think I will be getting rid of this phone soon i'm sure. I just with that Cingular had a 3G phone with a 2 mega pixel camera that wasn't as big as my car (Samsung A707). That phone is HUGE!!! Anywho..thanks for all the help everyone.

The Samsung A707 is huge? Dude I use the same case for both my Sync and my V3XX. They are pretty similar in size (which is slightly larger than the V3).

The phone is big. I would be so in love with a phone if it was identical to the Samsung A990 (Verizon flagship phone). I mean...Cingular doesn't really have a flagship phone. The only high-end phone that they have is a V3xx or a KRAZR. Boring! I want 3G, 3.2 megapixel, and reliable.

I know that the Apple phone is coming out in June or whenever...but the stupid thing is only EDGE enabled with no WiFi. EDGE was outdated last year. When will Cingular get any "new and fresh" phones. No more Razr remakes!

No new Nokia's anytime soon?
