Market research firm IDC says there were 236 million U.S. wireless subscribers at the end of 2006 and their data revenue totaled $4.8 billion in the fourth quarter.

Old news.. RCR and Wireless Week reported this weeks ago. It is referring to customers who sign up for service in retail stores. NOT total customer base.
The same could be said for Cingular in esales. Cingy sells more phones on their website then any other carrier. They also have a larger B2B base.
