No Response From Network

I have 4 Samsung X427 phones 1 works fine the other three receive the "No response from network" message when trying to access the network. I also can not download ringtones from Cingulars MediaNet. Cingular has swapped out all the phones - problem remains the Cingular techs don't seem to know what to do! And I've found that you can only call Cingular for help when you have an hour or two to kill. Help!!

Sounds like you need to call CS and have them add Wix data connect or ISP connect... they should know what you are talking about...

Thanks Unfortunately after spending another hour and a half + on the phone today with CS I'm really no closer to a resolution except that now they have "opened a case" on my problem and will call me when a technician investigates! I'll not hold my breath! It seems virtually impossible to talk directly with a tech perhaps they are not "user friendly" BTW they claim that your suggestions are in force.

It sounds like you need to make sure that your wap browser is trying to connect using csd. go into your wap browser and make sure the phone has the Media net or express account checkmarked.

Technicians are less customer friendly than Technical support desk (the guys that open cases with technicians). That's one reason why they don't let those guys talk to customers. Us CSR's have to put up with them.

🙂 Thanks to all that replied! After the problem was elevated to "Case" status I was promised that a tech would investigate and call me back! And they did, that evening!!! A very pleasant person ( see not all techies are user unfriendly ) was able to resolve the problem. Seems like they were not "provisioned" properly, whatever that means. However they all work now and my kids are busy down loading new ringtones - Unfortunately this problem proved costly to all involved - I probably spent 4-5 hrs on the phone, Cingular also, plus they swapped out the three phones!!
There's got to be a better way!
