Just out of curiosity.

When Cingular finally takes over AT&T will they be implementing some of the features of at&t's plans into their own? Such as free incoming text messages, free unlimited mobile-to-mobile on local/region plans (I assume they don't offer that since you can buy it for $9.99 which covers the nation with mobile-to-mobile), and also free nights and weekends starting at 7pm. Thank you very much if you can help me with any information.

the only way people will have that is if they already have this and choose to stay on their old at&t plan. if anyone wants a new phone they will be required to get a new cingular plan and chhos from our avaialable features which will be at cost to them i.e media packages, m2m etc.

We have not "done away" with it we have just standardized our plans so they are named the same throughout the country. Cingular was the first to offer 7-7 and have been everywhere since February 2003, ATT, Sprint just fell in line with the offer. You can get that same plan for 56.99 and then add the text on (media basic) for 7.99
